Job OverviewThe Senior Estimator/Operations Manager position requires direct management of the Staff Estimator team along with the co-management responsibility of the Office Manager. Responsibilities include serving as an estimator resource to the estimating staff, project estimating, new client prospecting, project prospecting for new and existing clients, evaluate schedule, workload, manpower availability and their impact on potential projects being estimated, executing and directing the estimating process within the procedure guidelines set forth by Electrical Enlightenment, work to build repeat business with clients, training, leading staff meetings, completing human resource responsibilities such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, staff training, releasing employees, and performance reviews. In this position you will be reporting directly to the President of Electrical Enlightenment, Inc. Our intent is to hire a long term professional with character, who will help us reach our corporate goals and objectives while displaying our company values.
Qualifications• Five years of experience as an Electrical Estimator • Thorough knowledge of the electrical field • Familiarity with electrical materials and construction methods, including requirements for different construction types (residential, commercial, industrial) • Thorough knowledge of NEC Code and NFPA 72 is essential • Strong computer skills which include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Express, ACT, etc.) • Electrical Estimating Software experience with one or more of the following: o Vision InfoSoft EBM o Accubid o McCormick o Conest o Mc-squared • Highly organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment • Effective speaking skills for communicating with electrical contractors, estimators/project managers, electrical engineers, and architects • Leadership skills • Strong code of ethics • Attention to details • Service oriented, good “people skills” • Good with paperwork • Mathematics aptitude • Individual must be able to multi-task • Meet deadlines on time

Job Overview• Direct responsibility for the completion of individualized, accurate, organized electrical estimates for electrical contractors executing the estimating process within the guidelines set forth by Electrical Enlightenment. • Read plans, specifications, perform take off • Solicit bid prices from vendors for required materials • Load job into our estimating system software • Organize and prepare scope of work description and price proposal on bid. • Submit proposal or bid to electrical contractor or general contractor(s) • Look for possible value engineering, cost savings or project enhancements as appropriate for each proposal
Qualifications• Advanced electrical knowledge • Electrical field experience in residential, commercial and industrial • Advanced NEC Code and NFPA 72 knowledge is essential • Computer skills which include Microsoft Word and Excel • Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are a plus • Electrical Estimating Software experience with one or more of the following a plus: o Vision InfoSoft EBM o Accubid o McCormick o Conest o Mc-squared • Qualified candidates must be highly organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment • Effective speaking skills for communicating with electrical contractors, estimators/project managers, electrical engineers, and architects • Must have the ability to use discretion and independent judgment due to varied responsibilities • Leadership skills • Strong code of ethics • Attention to details • Responsibilities require intellectual aptitude • Good with paperwork • Mathematics aptitude • Individual must be able to multi-task • Meet deadlines on time
