Each member of our estimating team is required to complete a standardized training program developed and overseen by the founder of Electrical Enlightenment.
Mike White, Staff Estimator, with 27 years in the electrical industry, experience is not lacking when discussing Mike's professional background. Mike started as Drafting/Designer spending 15 years in the Electrical Engineering field designing lighting, distribution, fire alarm and sound systems in the healthcare, commercial and educational industries. His last 15 years have been in the electrical construction field coordinating electrical installations.
Career Highlights:
Ken Kukla , Staff Estimator, has been in the electrical industry since 1968. Starting as an I.B.E.W. apprentice & moving up the ranks to journeyman / foreman / field superintendent & finally moving inside to become an estimator / project manager.
Ken has been an estimator for the last 30 years working for various union contractors in Cuyahoga, Summit & Lorain County.
Ken has been attending NECA electrical related courses for the majority of those 30 years. He also hold’s both a State of Ohio Electrical Contractors & Fire Alarm Installers License.
Larry Stofan, Staff Estimator, is one of Electrical Enlightenment's original team members.
Larry brought over 30 years of electrical experience in residential, commercial and industrial work to Electrical Enlightenment.
Larry started his electrical career in 1975 as an Apprentice-Helper. He worked with a number of union and non-union electrical contracting companies.
In 1985, Larry started his own successful electrical contracting company, which he ran until 1991. Larry gained valuable estimating experience while operating his company. Larry had his electrical licensure and bonding.
In 1991, Larry joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Local until he joined the electrical estimating team at Electrical Enlightenment, Inc. Larry’s experience with the I.B.E.W. included Forman assignments for a number of the union shops.
While at the I.B.E.W., Larry successfully completed their Apprentice Training Program. Larry's training also included a Motor Control course, a Pipe Bending course and numerous National Electrical Code courses.
Jason Bindel, Staff Estimator, has been working in the residential side of the electrical trade since 1992.
After high school graduation, Jason attended Cuyahoga Community College for two years.
After attending the community college, Jason enrolled and completed the Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Polaris Career Center in northern Ohio and earned his Electrical Journeyman's Card.
Jason has completed courses in A/C and D/C Fundamentals, Polyphase AC and Advance Motor Controls, Electrical Blueprint Reading, National Electrical Code, Programmable Controllers (PLC), Mechanical Drafting Classes, Logic Circuits, Integrated Circuits, Test Equipment and Electronic Fundamentals. He has also taken a wide spectrum of mathematic courses included classes specifically focused on mathematics for the electrical industry.
Most recently Jason acquired his fire license for the state of Ohio.
Mark Schneider, Staff Estimator, is a great addition to our outstanding professional estimating staff at Electrical Enlightenment.
Mark's 28 years of successful experience in the electrical industry brings solid experience that includes field work as a Journeyman Electrician, a Foreman / Fire Alarm Installer, Service Manager, Project Coordinator and Estimator / Project Manager.
Mark’s training includes attending electrical and NFPA courses, as well as, completing courses at Cleveland State University on the NEC code and Electrical Construction Estimating. Mark has also completed OSHA training on Supervisor Safety Training and Liability / Legal Issues.
Mark holds a State of Ohio Electrical Contractor's License.
Mark's professional experience makes him a valuable resource to the estimating team at Electrical Enlightenment.
Thomas Bielanski, Staff Estimator, started his electrical career in the Army, working with light electronics through computer repair. In 1996 after his discharge from the Army, Thomas continued in the electrical trade. He spent the last 15 years working from apprentice and eventually moving up to a lead foreman/project manager.
Thomas began estimating for his last contractor employer where he learned the process of electrical take-off and preparation of a bid. Thomas comes to Electrical enlightenment after working for another national estimating company, bringing a plethora of talent and knowledge.
